MINT (TM) THREAD LIFT

MINT Lift™ PDO - Threads and MONO Threads

As we age, our facial support structures sag. The affected areas include the cheeks and areas around the eyes, jowls and neck. The overall face shape changes with the jowls becoming more obvious and the cheeks less defined.

Thread lifts involve the use of PDO threads. When threads are placed under the skin they can tighten and lift sagging areas.

The procedure only takes 30 to 60 minutes and a local anaesthetic is used to minimise any discomfort.

Who is suitable for MINT Lift™ threads? Men and women over the age of 30 that are showing signs of aging but are not wanting to undergo a full facelift/invasive surgery.
Results can be seen immediately and continue to improve over time. Full results may be seen 6-12 weeks after the procedure and last a minimum of 12 months.
The procedure can then be repeated annually or as required to continue to maintain the desired effect.
These PDO threads are often used in conjunction with Dermal Fillers and neuromodulators such as Botulinum Toxin-A.

What is MINT Thread Lift?
The MINT synthetic Threads are made of PDO (Polydioxanone).
This material that has been used in surgical sutures for over 30 years and is completely absorbable by the body.

MINT Thread Lift is a minimally invasive procedure that redefines and restores lost elasticity and volume in the face, lower jaw, neck and cheeks for a youthful appearance. It is less invasive than traditional facelift surgery.

PDO threads dissolve around 6-9 months after insertion and create cellular renewal and collagen stimulation to maintain the lift for another 6-9 months.
The MINT Thread lift procedure takes approximately 30-60 minutes and local anaesthetic is used to minimise any discomfort.

Risks associated with treatment:
Patients can experience mild swelling and bruising after treatment which subsides within a few days.
Adverse reactions include infections, erythema, inflammation, foreign body sensation.Check with your healthcare professional to see if MINT LIFT is a suitable procedure for you.

Wherever they are placed they provide a natural lift and stimulate new collagen production in the area. Recovery time is quick so you can go back to daily life after your procedure.

The MINT MONO threads are smooth threads without barbs and these are great for tightening up the skin when lifting is not required or can be used in conjunction with the lifting threads to give an overall improvement in skin tightness and rejuvenation. The MONO threads stimulate new collagen wherever they are placed.

Topical anesthetic is used for the smooth MONO threads and typically 50 threads are usually inserted for each treatment.

Areas that are suitable for the MINT MONO treatment are neck lines, forehead, under eyes, cheeks, décolletage, back of hands and fine lines around the lips.

The Lifting thread and the Smooth threads can be used together in conjunction either at the same appointment or at different times.
