Deoxycholic acid/ Belkyra is a prescription medicine used to reduce fat below the chin and improve the appearance of your profile. Its active ingredient is synthetic deoxycholic acid, a molecule that occurs naturally in your body and assists in the absorption of dietary fat. This nonsurgical injection technique takes only 15-20 minutes to complete, and it destroys the fat cells in that area so that they can no longer store fat.
Non-surgical Deoxycholic acid/ Belkyra Treatment is used to treat extra fullness below the chin, resulting in a more contoured neck profile and jawline.
Deoxycholic acid/ Belkyra injections contain a naturally occurring substance in the body, deoxycholic acid, which helps the body absorb fat cells. When properly injected, this substance destroys fat cells, effectively disolving a double chin.
We use topical & subcutaneous local anaesthetic prior to your treatment to maximize your comfort. The Deoxycholic acid/ Belkyra Treatment is then injected at the treatment site. Patients require 2 treatments (occasionally more, rarely up to 6) to achieve results, with each treatment is usually spaced a minimum of 8 weeks apart. The results can last up to 4 years!
Costs for the first 2 treatments (8 weeks apart), are $2500 (subject to change) Depending on face shape, dosage and number of treatments required
