Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment works to improve your skin's texture and condition by harnessing the healing properties of your own blood platelets to stimulate your cells to rejuvenate themselves. Think of it as microneedling on steroids!

About Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment is an exciting new therapy in cosmetic medicine and is one of the most effective and natural treatments for cell revitalisation. PRP has been used for some time in sports injuries, ophthalmology, gynaecology and orthopaedics. It can be used safely almost anywhere on your body to help regenerate and revitalise damaged skin, reduce fine lines and improve skin texture.

How PRP Works

PRP is the clear yellow fluid (plasma) part of your blood that contains a high level of platelets (part of your clotting system). These platelets contain and release “Growth Factors” which:
– Stimulate collagen and elastin production
– Activate “Stem” cells. These are master cells which go on to develop into any of your body’s cells, leading to regeneration and rejuvenation.
– Stimulate new blood vessel growth to provide nutrients to these new cells.

It is a very safe procedure as it uses your own blood, so you don’t need to worry about allergic reactions or transmission of infection.

What to Expect

The treatment involves a simple standard blood sample. The blood is taken into a specifically designed tube then spun down in a centrifuge to separate out the red blood cells from the plasma. The plasma (or liquid gold as we call it!), high in platelets, is then given back to you in a series of injections or in conjunction with microneedling.

Results are not immediate. There will be some swelling for the first few days which reduces as the plasma is reabsorbed into your skin. The regeneration process starts in 3-5 weeks and continues for 3-5 months. Results have been seen up to 2 years after a course of treatment with average results lasting about 12 months.

PRP Pricing

Costs can vary depending on the area being treated. As with other types of microneedling, you’ll need more than one treatment to see full results. We usually recommend three treatments, with each session done about every four weeks. We will be happy to discuss the exact cost at your initial consultation.

Payment Methods: Our PartPay programme allows you to pay 25% on day of treatment & then 25% every fortnight for 6 weeks, interest free.We also offer Q Card over 12 months.
