Collagen Induction Therapy can rejuvenate and even skin texture, helping reduce fine lines. It can reduce scarring (e.g. acne, chickenpox or old surgical scars) and stretch marks (pregnancy or weight changes). It can soften pigmented areas and reduce redness form underlying fine blood vessels.
Collagen Induction Therapy uses precise fine needles to stimulate production of your own natural collagen. Targeted use of medical grade stainless steel needles instigates regeneration of skin cells via a natural process of healing. It also allows topical nutrients to be more readily absorbed into the skin, encouraging production of collagen and elastin.
Treatment takes around 60 minutes. Topical anaesthetic is applied prior to treatment, if required, and Collagen Induction Therapy pen is applied to the treatment area. Most patients experience temporary redness or swelling lasting a few hours.
